Bill Fulton, Game Designer at FASA Studio, has posted an excellent description of Shadowrun’s best feature — teamwork.
The aspect of “Shadowrun” that keeps me wanting to play it is how well it delivers the feeling of teamwork, that compelling experience of being a part of a team that has to coordinate and work together to defeat a dangerous and determined enemy. While “teamwork” is hardly a revolutionary new idea, “Shadowrun” was designed from the ground up to maximize teamwork, whereas other games feel like it was “tacked on” without much thought.

This game is one big paper-rock-scissors-fest. I like the dynamic. It really makes HALO seem slow (and almost boring).
However, in the end, I feel that the sharp shooters will win. That was the case in the testers versus the developers match the other night. The more accurate shooters beat the teamwork of the developers.
^^That’s really encouraging. I love game that uses “classes” and actually differentiates between them. It adds sooooo much more variety and tactics than what’s found in just a regular shooter.
I am so pumped for this game! I would sell a testicle to get into the beta!
