According to Major Nelson, Shadowrun was the 10th most played game on XBOX Live last week. The Shadowrun demo was the 5th most popular Live title for XBOX 360 (it was #3 last week).

Maybe the demo intrigued players enough to buy the game. Or maybe it just took a few weeks for enough people to buy the game for Shadowrun to pop into the top 10.

I think that its gonna rise some more too. Im seeing more and more players online, and more and more people i speak to are starting to realise that there is so much more under the surface of this game than at first meets the eye.
As with anything new and different, it takes to gather momentum. Since shadowrun is SO fundamentally different from anything most people have ever experienced… especailly in console gaming… they are at first put off and put the game down as a bad egg. However… i think the demo has allowed people to start to get a feel for what this title has to offer.
