in Games for Windows - Live.

HALO 2 (PC) has been delayed since May 8th — the original launch date for the game and Games for Windows - Live. Its delay will make Shadowrun the first Games for Windows - Live title. An official Microsoft spokesperson sent along the following information:
“Halo 2″ for Windows Vista did not release to retailers on May 22, as previously announced and will now ship from manufacturers on May 31. “Shadowrun” will be the first game to debut the highly anticipated Games for Windows - LIVE system on May 29. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused our customers.
Barring any delay, Shadowrun will become the first Games for Windows - Live title as it launches for Windows Vista. Of course, you’ll also be able to buy the XBOX 360 version of the game if you swing that way.

Odd. Picked this up from an interview with Bill Fulton over at games.yahoo.com.
“Xbox Live players won’t be able to browse dedicated server lists–only Windows players will be able to do that. Xbox 360 players will be able to join dedicated servers if a friend is in one, either through the guide or by a friend invite.”
Anyone got any ideas as to why this is the case?

With the recent announcement that HALO 2 for Vista will be released on May 8th along with the Games for Windows - Live service comes word that Shadowrun will be released sometime in June of 2007. No official date yet for that game, but at least we have a ballpark estimate. News from around the web:
